Support us in the fight to save general practice.

General Practitioners Aotearoa is funded by its members. We don’t take any government funding or any other money that might compromise our mission.

We also aim to keep our annual membership fees as low as possible (about 10% of what NZMA fees used to be), to make sure GPs can afford to join.

Is that enough money? No. We are coming up against the government and corporate interests that have bototmless pockets.

2026 is the most important year in recent history for general practitioners, with the GP crisis hot on everyone’s lips as we head into the 2026 election. GPA is here to make sure every political party has policies that will improve working conditions and recognition for GPs.

We are a registered charity, and provide a tax receipt for all donations.
